Keep on Keepin’ on lyrics:
Once there was a man who went fishin’
But fishes wouldn’t come his way
What he was wishin’ for was missin’
So he went on his way
As for the fishes, let me tell ya
Well they had problems of their own
Their fins were tired
They just couldn’t find a way to go home
But God said–
Keep on keeping on
Keep on listenin’ to the words of my song
Keep on keeping on
(What ya saying now?)
Keep your mind open and your heart beatin’ strong
You know the story bout the tortoise
When he was racin’ with the hair?
Nobody thought he would make it
But he made it there
Because the Hair knew he was faster
He took a rest to kill some time
But pretty soon he fell asleep
And tortoise crossed the line
‘Cos God said–
Keep on keeping on
Keep on listenin’ to the words of my song
Keep on keeping on
(What ya saying now?)
Keep your mind open and your heart beatin’ strong
They all say that life is tough
Makin’ choices
Learnin’ your right from wrongs
But I say before you’ve had enough
Try and read between the lines of my song
I hope you listened to my story
And thought about what I have said
We all can find the path to glory
With our hearts and our heads
And if there’s just one thing you leave with
Remember that you’re not alone
With every autumn comes a harvest
For to reap what you’ve sown
Remember–
Keep on keeping on
Keep on listenin’ to the words of my song
Keep on keeping on
(What ya saying now?)
Keep your mind open and your heart beatin’ strong
—End—
About the song lyrics:
This is a song I wrote that a company used for a marketing campaign for . I can’t disclose the product for legal reasons, but I own the rights to the song since it’s mine, obviously, so it’s ok to print here. They used the title all over banner stands and exhibition panels at trade fairs and even sent recorded versions of it using a unique piece of email marketing software.
